Additional information

It has come to IOM’s attention that there are applicants who have fallen victim to scams perpetrated by individuals falsely claiming to offer appointments for visa application and medical examination at IOM’s Migration Health Assessment Center (MHAC), with the intent to obtain personal information or solicit money from applicants.
We encourage all applicants to exercise caution. You can avoid becoming a victim by noting the following:

  • IOM will never email a visa applicant from a free email service, such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc.
  • An official IOM email address ends in “iom.int”. Any immigration medical examination-related correspondence coming from an address that does not end with “iom.int” should be considered suspicious.
  • IOM will never ask you to pay the service fee in advance to a personal account. The service fee is to be paid at the clinic during your actual appointment! For applicants, if you opt to pay online via SCB, please see additional details in Payment Methods (English, Thai)
  • Appointments for medical examination with IOM can be made online (click below), by email (iommedbkk@iom.int), or by phone (02-2347950-5).

For additional information, please visit the Thailand MHAC website.
